Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette - Review

Hey :)
So I recently stumbled across this Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in 'Rich Gold' when I was making an order on ASOS (I know, I have no shame in buying make-up when and wherever I can!). I think you will be able to see why this palette called to me; firstly it was a brand I have never tried before and secondly, it just looks stunning.

I am crazy in love about the packaging of this item, it's so simplistic but it looks like it's worth more than it actually is. I like how it's really sturdy - the hard glass casing doesn't seem flimsy at all - so this would be great for traveling. The next thing I noticed about this palette was the shades that it has - isn't it amazing?!, all the colours are super wearable I would say that 4/6 colours I could wear in the day and the other two would be great for giving a more smokey look at night. Pixi have definitely got their colour choices right, and I think that no matter how many nude palettes a person might own - this would be a great addition.
There are two faults that I can find with this product, the first is the longevity - this product really doesn't last on me, I have oily eyelids and eyeshadow tends to crease on me. What I have noticed is higher quality shadows like Urban Decay and M.A.C tend to crease less and much more later into the day, but other palettes like this creases in a few hours which really sucks. The second fault that I find with this palette is that it is not crazily pigmented, however it still does get the job done, I think this is because the formula is more powdery than creamy. I don't think this is a major issue since these colours are extremely wearable even if they are sheer and so wearing this product as an all over wash of colour on the eyes would be the best use of it.
At a retail price of £12, I would recommend trying it if you don't suffer from oily eyelids which crease, because apart from that fact I actually love it. So if you are a fan of the subtle nude shadows then definitely try our this super sleek palette!
I hope you have enjoyed this review, let me know what your favourite palette is? Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 is my favourite for just having everything I need, but I also love the Limited Edition Kiko Queen of Hearts palette in 01 Essentially Brown.
Thanks for reading,

  1. The shades in this palette are just amazing, I'm a neutral girl so I completely love these shades. Shame that the longevity and pigmentation is not as good or it would have been amazing. Great review!

  2. It's probably a good thing that I always forget Asos sell make-up, I can imagine my addiction would just get even worse. I've always heard of Pixi but I've never tried anything by them. This palette looks really pretty and I love the packaging. It's a shame they crease on you though :(
I love Stila's In the Light palette at the moment, especially the shade Kitten!

    1. Haha, honestly I discovered it by mistake! I think the brand would be kinda the same as Kiko, not that expensive but you get some quality there too :)
