Review: Garnier Skinactive Moisture Bomb Eye Tissue Mask

A face mask is the epitome of a luxurious pamper night in. There is just something about a mask which can make a pamper night truly feel spa-like. I try to do a face mask at least once per week, and I am constantly on the hunt for anything new - so when I heard that Garnier released some eye masks, I had to get my hands on them straight away...

I got my hands on two of these masks, the Garnier Skinactive Moisture Bomb Eye Tissue masks with Coconut water and Hyaluronic acid (£2.99/6ml), which is in the blue packaging and I got the orange packing too, which is the same but with Hyaluronic acid and Orange juice (£2.99/6ml). So I might just refer to these as the blue one and the orange one because I think that might be easier to follow. The blue one contains properties to help hydrate the eye area to reduce the look of lines, and the orange one is to help brighten dark undereyes.

I didn't realise this at first but the shapes of the two masks are different, the orange one is just for under the eyes, but the blue one is for all around the eyes. Initially I thought I would prefer the orange one just because it's your stereotypical idea of an under eye mask, and I thought the blue fuller eye mask would be too big. You know when you put on a sheet mask and it's too big for your face, so you end up readjusting it all the time because the eye/nose/mouth holes aren't exactly perfect and then gravity starts to take effect and the whole thing just starts sliding down your face. Yeah, that's what I thought I was letting myself in for. However, the blue one wasn't like this. It fit around my eyes, and after applying it, I did not need to readjust it at all, it wasn't heavy and just felt nice and most importantly, comfortable. So if you are like me and did not want to give the blue one a go because of bad experiences with sheet masks, then be sure to try this one because I didn't know tissue masks could be so low maintenance.

I'm going to group my review together, as I have tried both of them once and so cannot talk much around long term effects. In terms of packaging, this is really nicely done. The product is encased in a thin foil packaging, just slightly bigger than the product itself and it's easy to tear along the side and get the eye mask out without crumpling anything. I like how they haven't used excess packaging, this makes it super easy to travel with and even to pop in the fridge. Once you have got the mask out, it's nicely soaked with product, and like I said before, really easy to apply onto the eye area and then you are free to continue your pampering session, safe in the knowledge that this won't be slipping and sliding anywhere.

The results is a more plumped up eye area which just looks thankful to have a shot of hydration. The masks are cooling on the eye, I used one normally and the other I stuck in the fridge, and they both get cold, so a fridge is not necessary however it will keep it colder for longer. It just feels nice and refreshing on the eyes, and is a perfect treat before an event, or the morning after for a pick-me-up. I think these are so nice and handy to keep on site.

I'm just super happy with this product, I would buy it again, and would recommend it to anyone whose eyes just need some TLC! I would love to know if you have tried this product, or if you have tried a different eye mask! Let me know in the comments below!
