Thomas Sabo Glam & Soul Karma Arabesque Bico Watch

 It was my birthday earlier this month, and I was very lucky to receive the watch that I wanted from my family. I love accessories since they have this ability to totally change up an outfit. I only own one other watch, so it was so lovely to now be able to have more variation in my wardrobe...

I received the Thomas Sabo Glam & Soul Karma Arabesque Bico Watch (£270). I spotted this online a month or two ago and I instantly fell in love. What singles this watch out is that it is dual toned, in regards to the metals used. I love that it has rose gold and silver in it. I own a Guess watch that is rose gold, and I wanted something different in terms of style and aesthetic. I love that now I have a watch that goes with the silver hardware on my bags and jewellery but still compliments my skin-tone. 

Another reason this watch caught my attention was the bead fixture on the side, making this look more like jewellery rather than just a plain watch, I love how this looks with other bracelets, and adds to the other accessories I've worn rather than just being segregated from other things I wanted to wear. 

It's hard to see on the photo's but the face of this watch is slightly pearlescent, so in different light, this watch captures attention, and just makes the watch pretty without being too ostentatious. I love the simplicity of this watch, how it just gives the time without added features of date and other unnecessary details. This is also missing the second hand too, so it is really dialled back in terms of  simplicity. 

Another feature this watch has is the clasp at the back, it's a double clasp which is something I have never seen before, and although it takes an extra few seconds to put on, I find that it is very secure on my hand, and just leaves me with a feeling of security.

I took this watch with me to Budapest for a few days, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to test drive the watch. Firstly, I'm glad I didn't break the watch, which was the thing I was most scared of! I found that I don't have to be overly cautious of this watch, which is always good! I haven't scratched it, and it's still in pristine condition. I loved that this watch went with every outfit I wore whilst I was in Budapest. 

I think you can tell how much I love this watch, this post is literally me just fawning over this watch. It's feminine, without being too girly, which is what I think the silver adds and it's practical but looks like jewellery. I can't see anyone not liking this watch.

Highstreet Haul!

I'm not usually one to pick up a lot of new things in one go but since I am going on holiday in less than two weeks it was definitely time to restock on some items I needed for the trip, annnnd since that entails hitting the highstreet I couldn't resist in purchasing a few other pieces I *cough* needed *cough*.

I actually did need to pick up a new mascara - scouts honour!-  and since I like to play it safe, I went with my good old pal the Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious (£9.99/10ml), I spoke about this mascara around a year ago and it just ticks all the boxes for me, it holds a curl, it thickens the lash and is also jet black. Since I'm heading to India another selling point is the fact that it's waterproof, so this will really stand the test of crazily humid weather. Naturally, since I've brought this mascara I need something to take it off and so I grabbed the Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover  (£3.59/150ml) while it was half price in Superdrug. I love this eye make-up remover, it does the job for me and it's very inexpensive which is a huge selling point for me 'cause I go through the bottle like no tomorrow.

I headed towards Primark next and found myself in the jewellery section where I spotted this Simple Layered Necklace (£2.00) which I think is nice and dainty, adding something a bit more put together in an outfit. Since the gold bar is twisted, it catches the light and so doesn't look too flat, if you catch my drift. 

I've been interested in the Tresemme Perfectly Undone collection because of their adverts and so I decided to pick up their sea salt spray (£5.49/200ml) because perfectly undone is exactly the look I want to achieve. For the past few months, I have been keeping my hair away from most hair tools and attempting to go au naturel with my locks, so sea salt spray is a god send for making my hair look suave and cool rather than just a wavy mess.

Somehow I can't resist buying things from Makeup Revolution since it's so inexpensive and so when my eyeshadow broke the other day I went and bought the Mono Eyeshadow (£1.00) in the shade Mmmm and use it both as an eyeshadow and also my eyebrow powder for my holiday. I swatched this immediately when I came home and it's a creamy formula that is similar to Urban Decay's and also very pigmented, so hopefully this product will perform as well as it swatches!

The last thing I bought was a Casual Shirt from H &M (£7.99), as soon as I saw this colour I was drawn to it, it's a lovely green turquoise. The versatility of the shirt is another selling point, I could wear it to work tucked into a pencil skirt, or wear it casually with jeans or a skirt. It's a light soft material and so I know I will reach for it often and for the price I thought it was a absolute bargain.

I'm actually really chuffed with what I got, and can't wait to wear most of it! Have any of you been haulin' recently? If so, what did you get? I would love to know!

Staple Pieces: River Island

Hey guys!
So today I wanted to share two of the items I have been loving from River Island. I absolutely love jewellery and always have staples pieces for a period of time rather than mixing and matching all the time. I feel like River Island has just been on point with their releases recently, I find myself loving everything - from their necklaces to their earrings to their rings, which for me is uncommon - I'm usually one of those people who can never find anything. Let me show you what I got!

The first thing I purchased was these midi rings! I love midi rings, I feel like they can look both casual and elegant at the same time, I got them in gold because I already have a gold ring which I wear all the time so wearing these both won't clash. What I love about these is that you can wear them separately or together. I feel like wearing both stacked together makes more of a statement so depending on the occasion I will mix this up. The next thing I purchased was some ear cuffs, for the past few months I have been hunting down the perfect pair, and when River Island had these in store again I couldn't help myself. I like that they gave you two again, one is slightly bigger but they are both adjustable, for £3 again I can't complain. I have been loving wearing ear cuffs with certain outfits, I feel like they make my style look more edgy, they add something...badass that I can't get from any other pieces I wear. If I want to go all out I wear two on the same ear, like in the picture below (flyaways are my enemy). But again it's all about how it meshes with the outfit. See here for link to website.

I really wanted to show you guys these two pieces because I have become absolutely obsessed with them both! I think it's because the colour of the gold doesn't look totally fake, and I could notice that as soon as I wore them. My mom actually believed that I got my ears pierced again!
