Two products for softer, more manageable hair...

I'm quite a boring beauty blogger, I love to try new things but as soon as I find something great, I tend to stop my search. That's what has happened to my hair, I was using the same things that tended to work well, until they just stopped performing. So I wanted to share new one product that I have completely fallen head over heels with and another that I have had in my collection for over two years and I still love it.

My latest find is the TREsemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Oil (£7.69/50ml). I have hair that is more straight than wavy, that I blow dry on a daily basis. I recently noticed that my hair was generally getting a bit more frizzier in texture. I went on a hunt for something that would make my hair smoother and condition it back to the texture that it was and this product is the one.

I use it on wet hair and I use two pumps for my whole hair. I normally warm up the product in my hands before applying it to the mid-lengths to ends of my hair. I then brush my hair though and begin my styling routine. This product feels like a hybrid between an oil and serum, it will leave a bit of residue on your hands, but it doesn't feel unpleasant. The result is literally silky smooth hair. What I like about this is that the silkiness lasts the whole day. I walk up and down a hill for 30 minutes either way, and my hair is not getting a frizzy as it usually was which is an absolute miracle.

I've used this on dry hair to add some shine, and although I would use it like that again, it's quite easy to go overboard! So a little goes a long way! I love how travel friendly the bottle is too, so I will definitely be taking this away with me on two of my trips away in the next month!

My old but gold favourite is my trusty Wet Brush (£11.99). I love the Wet Brush. If you don't know what it is, it's a hair brush that literally de-tangles your hair without pulling or tugging and just makes brushing hair a pleasant experience. I love that the Wet Brush has an actual handle because I do use it to blow dry my hair so makes styling quite easy. I find that my hair is less likely to break when I use this brush, and so it helps to maintain  my hairs condition.

I've recently repurchased this product, because I use it every single day and my old one was getting super grubby. This one is already got some fluff on it! If anyone knows how to successfully clean one, I am all ears. If you are looking for a brush which looks great but also performs, then look no further!

So those are my two products for softer, more manageable hair. I use both of these daily and I have noticed such a difference in the condition of my hair! I would love to know if there are any products that help the condition of your hair!

Birchbox: June 2017

I was lucky to receive the June Birchbox as a late birthday present this month. I love the concept of this brand, delivering new and upcoming, or well loved beauty products to try and test. This months Birchbox came in a bag, which is perfect for days at the beach as the material of the bag is easy to clean and very durable.

The first thing that popped out of this bag was the Scrub Love Coconut Mango Body Scrub (£12.95/200g). This product is so ideal for summer, I feel like sometimes we worry about facial skincare rather than body care! Still I was prepared to dismiss this product, as who wants to spend a lot of money on a scrub that you wash away right? When I used this product, I was completely blown away, I used around a tablespoon of the scrub and that was enough to scrub my whole body. The scrub itself is mostly particles with no gel or liquid which makes the scrub really do its job properly. It does have oil in it, so it's not all just grit. The smell is incredible, it did not overtly smell of coconut nor mango, but just a nice tropical scent, enough to make you wish you were in a tropical paradise!  The scrub was vigorous, but the coconut oil left behind just made me love this product even more, as my body was just ready for the day once I stepped out of the shower. For anyone who is looking for a real scrub, this is honestly the best product I have tried!

I was also so happy to receive the Cowshed Cowpat Moisturising Hand Cream (£8.00/50ml), just because I haven't tried anything from the brand before, and I've heard such good things about it. This hand cream is a good staple for any handbag, it absorbs well into the skin and doesn't leave any greasy residue. The scent is really different, this product strives to be unisex which I find refreshing! This product contains Grapefruit oil and Coriander oil to help circulation and also Shea and Cocoa butter to help to nourish dry skin. In terms of texture, this feels like a lotion, however has the power of a heavy duty cream! I actually stick this product on my feet too because it really is good at hydrating dry skin.
The amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (£20.00/232ml), is a product I didn't think I would get much use out of. However, a week after the box arrived, I slept in after my alarm went off, and only had less than half an hour to get ready and this product literally saved my hair. I don't really use dry shampoo as I was my hair every day. I know, it's so bad for my hair. But what I especially liked about this dry shampoo was that it didn't leave a build up of product in my hair, and it just added an extra few hours of wear back into my hair. This would be great for anyone who likes to use dry shampoo period, but also those who like to use it over a period of days, as this is such a light spray.

The last few bits that were in the Birchbox was an Eyebrow Pencil from Meech and Mia (£12.99/1g), I haven't heard of this brand before but I was sceptical of trying an eyebrow pencil as I hadn't tried one in a few years! Once I tried this one though, I was sold. It's lightly pigmented, and has a slightly waxy feel to it, and just looks natural on the brows. It's weird, it's like a new generation of eyebrow pencils, that accentuates brows rather than drawing them on! This pencil is designed for sparse brows, and so if you are like me, and are not naturally gifted with full brows this pencil could be a game changer for you!

Another interesting product was the Arrow Enhance Waterproof Eyeliner + Brightener (£12.00/0.8g), which is a light pink eyeliner, which is perfect masking tired, red eyes! So although I love the concept of this eyeliner, and the longevity is also brilliant, the product itself slightly balls up on my eyes, and leaves residue in my eyelashes, which isn't ideal. Also I probably should address that on my eyes, the colour is quite noticeable, just because of how tanned my skin is. I think on lighter skin this product might look more natural! What I have been doing with this product is using this on my waterline and then adding my eyeliner of choice over it, as it extenuates the colour of my eyeliner, as it's such a light colour. So if I am wearing brown or green eyeliner, priming my waterline with this eyeliner is perfect as the colour just looks more vibrant and the eyeliner actually has something to stick to too, and so doesn't disintegrate as easily!

I was super happy with this Birchbox, as I just think the selection was things I needed but just didn't buy for myself! I would love to know if you have tried Birchbox and your experiences of it! Also be sure to follow me on Bloglovin to stay up to date with my posts!

2 essential products for healthier hair

Hair used to be such a neglected part of my routine. I have loads of products to use on my hair, but it's so easy to forget to use them! Today I wanted to dedicate a post to the two products which has made the most difference in the appearance of my hair...

The first product is the Percy & Reed  Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Overnight Recovery (£20.00/150ml). That name is seriously long. I actually got this in Elle magazine and just fell in love. This is a cream mask that you leave in your hair overnight and wash out in the morning. Applying a cream to your hair seems so odd at first, but this sinks in quickly and doesn't leave residue which is ideal! I use like a walnut size and apply mainly through the mid-lengths to the roots of my hair. When I wash this out I can still feel the product in my hair which I like as it's continually conditioning my hair until the moment I wash it out. The effect is silky soft hair that is so weightless that you feel like you belong in a shampoo advert! The smell of all Percy & Reed products is amazing, it's so hard to describe but it's just fresh smelling

The second product I am going to mention is the LABEL.M Protein Spray (£14.25/250ml). This protein spray was kindly gifted to me by my best friend and it's the best heat styling spray that I have ever used. It really nourishes the hair so that the effects of heat damage is practically undetectable and I've noticed that my hair just looks more healthier, especially at the tips. My hair cut looks fresher for longer thanks to this product. I use this religiously so the massive size is useful, as I do reach for it on an almost daily basis and it's just brilliant. It smells lovely too, like a muted jasmine and vanilla which is the perfect aroma as it's a fragrance that you never get sick of. I also like the way this mists out, it's a very fine mist that targets a large portion of the hair and so I don't have to use tons of this product. I have medium length hair that is more on the thick side and I only use around 4-5 sprays.

Both of these products are the ones I gravitate towards when my hair needs some health and life injected back into it. I just love both of these products as they really do just help the overall condition of my hair with the least amount of effort, which is all I'm looking for! If you haven't tried these, I would definitely recommend it as makes taking care of hair more of an therapeutic experience rather than a chore!
I would love to know what hair products you would recommend that helps your hair look healthier! Let me know in the comments below.

Highstreet Haul!

I'm not usually one to pick up a lot of new things in one go but since I am going on holiday in less than two weeks it was definitely time to restock on some items I needed for the trip, annnnd since that entails hitting the highstreet I couldn't resist in purchasing a few other pieces I *cough* needed *cough*.

I actually did need to pick up a new mascara - scouts honour!-  and since I like to play it safe, I went with my good old pal the Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious (£9.99/10ml), I spoke about this mascara around a year ago and it just ticks all the boxes for me, it holds a curl, it thickens the lash and is also jet black. Since I'm heading to India another selling point is the fact that it's waterproof, so this will really stand the test of crazily humid weather. Naturally, since I've brought this mascara I need something to take it off and so I grabbed the Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover  (£3.59/150ml) while it was half price in Superdrug. I love this eye make-up remover, it does the job for me and it's very inexpensive which is a huge selling point for me 'cause I go through the bottle like no tomorrow.
I headed towards Primark next and found myself in the jewellery section where I spotted this Simple Layered Necklace (£2.00) which I think is nice and dainty, adding something a bit more put together in an outfit. Since the gold bar is twisted, it catches the light and so doesn't look too flat, if you catch my drift.

I've been interested in the Tresemme Perfectly Undone collection because of their adverts and so I decided to pick up their sea salt spray (£5.49/200ml) because perfectly undone is exactly the look I want to achieve. For the past few months, I have been keeping my hair away from most hair tools and attempting to go au naturel with my locks, so sea salt spray is a god send for making my hair look suave and cool rather than just a wavy mess.
Somehow I can't resist buying things from Makeup Revolution since it's so inexpensive and so when my eyeshadow broke the other day I went and bought the Mono Eyeshadow (£1.00) in the shade Mmmm and use it both as an eyeshadow and also my eyebrow powder for my holiday. I swatched this immediately when I came home and it's a creamy formula that is similar to Urban Decay's and also very pigmented, so hopefully this product will perform as well as it swatches!

The last thing I bought was a Casual Shirt from H &M (£7.99), as soon as I saw this colour I was drawn to it, it's a lovely green turquoise. The versatility of the shirt is another selling point, I could wear it to work tucked into a pencil skirt, or wear it casually with jeans or a skirt. It's a light soft material and so I know I will reach for it often and for the price I thought it was a absolute bargain.
I'm actually really chuffed with what I got, and can't wait to wear most of it! Have any of you been haulin' recently? If so, what did you get? I would love to know!

How To Care For Your Hair

Although I seem to go on and on about makeup and skincare, haircare was actually my first love when I was a young teen, I used to straighten my hair for school before I realised that super thin straight hair doesn't actually look that great on me. Regrets - don't we all have them. Luckily for me, I got used to caring for my hair when I started to damage it, so I've learned a few tricks that I really wanted to share with you all.

1) Reducing Heat
I bet if you are a girl, you are used to damaging your hair in all sorts of different ways, from hairdryers to curlers and everything in between. Using heat protection is always needed, but what really does help me and my spilt ends is reducing the amount of heat I use. I hardly ever touch my hair with straighteners anymore, I actually straighten my hair with my hairdryer using a brush to distribute the heat evenly. This has really helped my hair, it still gets straightened, however it's a lot thicker and my ends look healthy because they aren't getting burned by two ceramic plates.
Another way to reduce heat is to not wash your hair as often - dry shampoo is my best friend (Batiste is my favourite brand) and I think preplanning your hair look is the way to go, so that you aren't stuck in the morning with semi-greasy hair wondering what you should do!

2) Conditioning
No matter if your hair is dry or if it is oily, everyone needs to condition their hair to protect it. My favourite quick way to condition my hair is to apply hair oils overnight and then wash it out the next morning, so I don't have to spend more time in the shower applying a hair mask. Loads of brands sell these kinds of oils, I usually prefer to use Argan Oil because I think it is more nourishing.
Make your own deep conditioning night spray: by mixing your conditioner with some water and pouring the solution into a clear spray bottle!

3) Shampoo
With all these tips, your hair will probably be full of nice things, from heat protection to oils and so removing it effectively is also necessary as a build up of these products can cause the hair to become greasier faster. I would recommend using a cleansing shampoo once a week to fully cleanse your hair. Lush do a great one called I Love Juicy  (£5.50/100g) and although it costs quite a bit, if you use it once a week it does last a fair while. A cheaper alternative is to use a really cheap shampoo, like ASDA's own brand, as they are generally very cleansing and will make your hair squeaky clean.
Changing up your shampoo is also something I would recommend doing as your hair gets used to using the same shampoo. I usually own three shampoos at one given time, which seems excessive but I have one for cleansing, one that's more nourishing (for days where I have to forego the conditioner), and a standard one for normal days.

What I like about hair maintenance is that it really doesn't take that long to do if you incorporate it into a routine.
Do you have any other tips on haircare? I would love to find out!

The Glam Guide by Fleur De Force

Hey Everyone!
So as soon as I realised Fleur, from the popular blog and YouTube Channel 'Fleur De Force', was releasing her own book, I knew I had to pre-order it so I wouldn't miss a thing. Reading it these past few days (in the midst of my university work) has really been enjoyable. I really wanted to share my thoughts about this with you guys...

Fleur's book is called 'The Glam Guide' and I think what appeals to me the most about this book is that she is giving everyone her expertise and advising everyone about how they should approach topics like make-up, skin-care and fashion among other things. It's not a rule book it's a guide that can be applied to anyone however they like. Everyone can learn from this book, even myself, I found the fashion part the most appealing as I need tips on what to buy and why. That's another thing - Fleur tells you exactly why she is saying something so you can easily see where she is coming from, the book itself is very readable and relatable, like your older sister (who is amazing at everything) sharing her knowledge with you. I love that I get that experience from this book.

I think this is a great starter guide to becoming a woman (as weird as that sounds), how you should take care of yourself and the essentials of beauty. I think it spreads a very positive message, grooming versus being excessively overdone. She remembers who her audience is and so she gives recommendations of her favourite products (which I know well from watching her videos for the past 3 years), but also DIY versions and cheaper alternatives.

She created a section that explained what chemical nasties might be in skin-care and make-up products,  I found this the most enlightening as you hear what people tend to stray from (parabens) but not why. This is a nifty little section and what I liked most about it is that she didn't claim to stay away from it all, since a correlation between an ingredient and cancer does not point to causation.

The presentation of the book is amazing too, I love the rose gold metallic stars on the cover, I also love the illustrations inside the book as well as the photos of Fleur modelling for the topic she is talking about. The mix of visual and text is exactly what you need when you want to think about fashion and beauty. Everything is there for a reason.

I think the part of the book that I didn't learn that much from is the make-up and skin-care bits but honestly that's just me, these past few years I have attained the same tips and tricks on how to approach those areas. Even so, I still enjoyed reading it because I like to hear her thoughts on things, I'm a huge fan of Fleur since she is practically the reason that I got into beauty, her channel on YouTube was the first I subscribed to three/four years ago, and still to this day I still trust her recommendations above anyone else.
I think if you are into things like this - tips and tricks on how to have that balance between everything girl-related, then this book is definitely for you. I think this is a book most girls should have since it covers a lot of topics easily and with the right amount of depth too.
I enjoyed it, I hope you guys will too :)
If you want to buy it you can purchase it on Amazon for £7.49, but it's also available in store at Waterstones and W H Smith (prices may vary)!
It's hard to review books without giving too much away! but I hope you enjoyed this review!

COLAB Dry Shampoo - A Model Recommends Review

Hey guys!
So since my major personal discovery of Batiste dry shampoo (read review here), I have been very reluctant to try anything else which is not...well Batiste. But when Ruth Crilly, author of the blog 'A Model Recommends', released her own range named 'COLAB Dry Shampoo' I was definitely intrigued and had to give it a try. I used the 'Paris' fragrance.

What I liked:
1) Smell: This totally doesn't smell like a dry shampoo. It is a very light floral scent which isn't too overpowering but nice enough that you wouldn't mind putting it in your hair. I really like this.
2) Price: This massive bottle comes in for around £3.49/200ml, which I think is awesome, I like how Ruth isn't cashing in on her subscribers and I think it is a fair price that anyone could pay.
3) Application: So this is one of my favourite things about this product - it comes out as a fine mist *round of applause to Ruth*. This makes application so much better because you can effectively control the amount of product that comes out and it won't come out in massive clumps of powder.
4) Feel: Another thing this product has going for it is that it feels so lightweight in the hair - you don't feel grimy at all. This means that you could probably use this product as a texturising spray and not feel weighed down by having too much product in your hair.
5) Invisibility: So this product is invisible if it is used correctly, but if you do spray too much on then you still do get a tiny but of white residue so beware. But for the most part it is invisible :)

What I didn't like:
1) Performance: Okay so this may just be me, but this didn't actually work that great for me - my hair is really really oily so the amount I need to use is probably more than anyone else. So for me although it's nice and lightweight, I do need something heavy duty. So if you don't suffer with extremely oily hair then this may just be the perfect product for you because it really does tick all the boxes, but for me more power and performance is needed to get rid of the excess oil in my hair.

So I hope that you guys liked my review of this product, I would recommend it for people who don't actually need to do a lot of damage control on their hair. Personally, I am glad I tried it but it's just not for my hair type. I totally see the craze though, so if it does suit your hair then be sure to purchase it.
Thank you for reading :)

Saviour Products You Need To Have: Oils!

Hey!
So today I am going to be talking about a ton of oil products which I think every one should have and also one that you should stay away from! I was going to make this an 'Every Girl Should Have' post buut I think some guys could benefit from this too. I personally love using oils because they are a really quick and effective way of adding moisture to your body without being too greasy (you'll see what I mean). I will use at least one oil product a day - that is how obsessed I am. Also, it's November now and using something a bit more heavy duty like an oil will really benefit your skin and hair from the harsh weather sooo I guess this is good timing!

Hair
I think this is one of the first oil product I bought for myself and it is Avon's Advance Technique Moroccan Argan Oil (£5.50/30ml) and let me say after trying many more since then, this one is still the one I reach for. I love the fact that you can use it with damp hair (which is what I usually do) and I just rub the oil in my hands to warm up the product and then distribute it more towards the ends of my hair to condition it (especially if you know you are going to be styling it like crazy that day). Another way I love to use this is by leaving it as an overnight treatment for when I know I have no time to condition my hair the next morning - it's like cheating but you are preparing for it. I really like that you can use this on dry hair just to add in a healthy shine - I love that it doesn't make your hair look greasy, I apply this in the same way as I explained earlier although I would use less product because it's just for shine rather than intense conditioning.

I'm going to add something that you should stay away from too and that is the L'oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Mist (£9.99/100ml). This product actually feels like oil when you spray it on your hair - I find this really odd because it is such a fine mist but even so I wouldn't apply this directly onto my hair because too much comes out. I swear 3 mists are enough for my entire head. I only ever use this at night and that's because I want to use it up. I would stay clear of this product and go for the Avon one instead.

Body
I think it is the body oils that actually made me realise how effective and quick oil can really be. Half a year ago I purchased Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturising Body Oil (£5.10/250ml) and I have never regretted it. I was really really bad at moisturising and I wanted to make myself get into a routine of conditioning my skin when I got out of the shower and this product actually made me a lot better at giving my skin the moisture it needed. It smells like vanilla and chocolate - so it's a semi-subtle scent that is really nice and easy to enjoy. I use this as soon as I am dry after showering - I pour some of the product into my hand and just massage it into my skin - it does absorb really quickly because it's a nice lightweight formula and it also doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. I tend to put on my dressing gown straight after anyway to be sure it's sunk in properly while I do my hair or make-up.

Another one I can recommend for ease is Garnier Body Ultimate Beauty Oil (£7.49/150ml) I find that this works well too and I like that it has a spray so the time applying the product is reduced and it's really easy to blend it in so it's good when you are really in a hurry. The shape of the bottle makes me feel like I am using it up really fast though!
If I had to choose one I would choose the Palmer's one because I feel that it lasts longer on the skin and I enjoy the scent a lot better but both are good picks :)

Facial
This is when I got obsessed with oils. Having oily skin, I never would have thought that this day would come but I was so wrong. I love facial oils - they have literally changed my life and I don't think I can live without them. I have wrote a few posts about The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (£10.00/200ml), words cannot explain how much I love this product - my make-up literally can be off in under 30 seconds. I think I love it because I don't have to tug at my skin for my make-up to come off - it is honestly like a massage (I do tend to massage it in for a few minutes) - I would pay a lot more money for this product because of how luxurious it is. Although it is an oil cleanser it feels more like silk than oil - it doesn't feel icky or nasty at all, honestly if you are looking for a make-up cleanser that works then this is the product for you.
This next product is one I am going to do a feature on in the next month or so and it is the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate  (£36.00/30ml). This is amazing - my skin went through a really rough patch over summer (I think I was allergic to something that I tried) and the texture of my skin went so bad that I had no idea what to do. This honestly made the recovery time go a lot quicker - every single day (even now) when I put this on I will see a difference in my skin the next morning. It is phenomenal. It basically contains a lot of essential oils that just help to repair and sooth the skin and I cannot live without it. I whole heartedly recommend this to anyone who is having the same problem or if you want something that will make a difference to the appearance of your skin in general.

So as you can see I am really into oil products :) I do use them on a daily basis and I think they do the job well - looking over what I have wrote I found that with hair and body it was the cheaper oils that I preferred - so I think I wouldn't go that crazy price wise with those. But facial oil is something I will spend money on, even though The Body Shop Camomile Oil isn't that expensive, for facial care it is the balance of oil and general goodness that is essential rather than pure moisturisation.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my picks for each category :) Do you like oils? If so, which ones? I love recommendations soooo feel free to comment below :)
Thank you so much for reading,

Every Girl Should Have: A Wooden Hair Brush

Hey Guys :)
So today's post is another 'Every Girl Should Have' :) All the products I mention in this mini series are all obvious and simple but still I think they should be mentioned because the basics are the most important right?
The product that deserves a mention is: a wooden hair brush. Now, although this seems like a weird choice, the fact that the comb is wooden is a key part of this review. This is why you should invest in one:
1) Conditioning -  Wooden brushes naturally condition your hair because the bristles distribute the natural oils in your hair evenly making them softer and healthier.
2) Static - Wooden brushes don't produce static electricity in your hair since the bristles are wooden! so you will always have a good hair day!
3)Breakage - Since the bristles on a wooden hair brush are wide and gentle it is less likely to break your hair when you comb through it - helping it in the long run.
4) Massaging -  Wooden hair brushes have gentle bristles, again which are wide, this means when you run it through the scalp it has a nice massaging effect - making hair brushing a more enjoyable experience.
5)Longevity - Wooden brushes generally last a lot longer than plastic hair brushes - this is because it's stronger and made out of better material. I have always found that the bristles on a plastic brush always lose the nib (which has the massaging effect) and so scratches my scalp instead of massaging it.
6)Types - Wooden brushes come in all different shapes and sizes depending on your hair requirement - so you have no excuse not to have one in your life!

I got mine from Amazon a while ago and I have never looked back. They honestly just feel so luxurious which is weird to say since it's just a wooden hair brush. If you haven't tried a wooden hair brush then I urge you to buy one since it doesn't actually have any bad qualities in my opinion.

Every Girl Should Have: Teasing Comb

Hey Guys :)
So I have been loving thinking about products for this series of what I think every girl should have :) and today I am going to introduce you to a hair saviour, the teasing comb :)

I think every girl needs this - we all have those days where our hair isn't co-operating and just seems flat and lifeless, for me this usually happens on the day after I wash my hair, and dry shampoo can sometimes give volume but for me it doesn't hold it (especially if you have thick long hair, it's just too heavy). This product is a Godsend because it teases hair from the root, meaning the volume will stay longer, I also like how you have control over products like this, so I can control how 'big' I want my hair to look :p

The end of the teasing comb is pointed which is also amazing as you can part your hair with ease - it's so useful, I cannot even express how long it took me to part my hair with my usual comb, but this really does it in seconds.

I love this product, because it's cheap, fast and effective and I have no regrets for buying it :) I bought my Babyliss one from Amazon for £3.99, which you can buy here

I hope you enjoyed this latest instalment of Every Girl Should Have :) Thanks for reading, remember to comment and subscribe  :)

Every Girl Should Have: Hair Clamps

Hey :)
So today I wanted to start doing a series of what I think every girl should have, these things will be the most practical and most basic of things, but still very necessary and most of all - life saving :P

Today's mention is hair clamps, I didn't just stumble across these one day - I was actively searching them out. I first came across these at the hairdressers like 5/6 years ago and the hairdresser would just stick these in my hair whilst she was doing her thing and they just felt amazingly secure! I actually purchased mine like a year or two ago and honestly I still haven't lost them all because I make sure to keep them where I can see them :P It's just perfect for whatever you want to do, for example, sectioning off your hair when you are blow-drying, curling or straightening, when you wash your face it works as well as a hair tie and whenever I am at home it will be in my hair just keeping the majority of my hair out of my face.
I purchased mine from Boots and they give you six in a pack, 3 white and 3 black, for £3.59, which I think is a really good price for something that you will use everyday without fail.
I hope you enjoyed the start to the series of what I think every girl should have :)

Review: Tresemmé 7 Day Smooth System Shampoo and Deep Treatment Masque

Hey :)
So today I wanted to review Tresemmé 7 Day Smooth System Shampoo and Deep Treatment Masque since I've been trying it out for while and I wanted you guys to know my first impression :)

Shampoo
This shampoo in itself is really nice - smells just as good as any other Tresemmé shampoo which I looove. I can honestly say that this product delivers the smoothness that it claims (more like 2/3 days rather than the 7 that it claims but that's fine by me), you can notice instantly that something has changed in your hair. My hair personally looked smoother, healthier and just all round awesome, I noticed that even blow-drying my hair haphazardly it was still nice and smooth. It makes my hair feel clean and soft without feeling greasy so this is doing something special to my hair.
I think this product would be awesome if your hair tends to get frizzy - especially in the summer with all the humidity :) and I do think it is worth the money. I will say however that I didn't like this product when I first got it because when I curled my hair that day it dropped out within an hour or two. So this is going to be a product which I will use occasionally but if I know I want to curl my hair I won't use it. It kinda sucks because I like being spontaneous when it comes to my hair but it is something you can work around. I think it is still worth the buy since I know it will make my hair look awesome when I am in a rush or going somewhere special :)

Deep Treatment Masque
I love these kinds of products. In general they just make your hair feel so soft! (I'm feeling the ends of my hair now and they feel so soft!). I think everyone needs to invest in these kinds of conditioners  - I actually prefer these to the normal conditioners they sell since they just seem to do a lot more. Pair the Deep Treatment Masque with any shampoo and you'll get fabulous results anyway :) I use this product twice a week in place of a conditioner and mainly work it into my ends so they stay soft and damage free and it is doing a good job so far :) I have absolutely no issue with this product - I think that its just a standard deep hair conditioner that does the job. I would invest in this if you are looking for a change perhaps or just wanted to try something that works nicely :)

Tip
This is for the girls (or guys) whose hair gets greasy waay faster than other people (like me). Basically if you condition your hair first and then shampoo it then your hair is noticeable softer and cleaner. I think this works because the conditioner will make your hair softer but shampooing after will clean your hair of any residue - making your hair be grease-free for longer! Honestly you could even do this with the two products I've just reviewed (I used this tip today) and you can notice a massive difference. However I don't think this works if you have drier hair since shampooing last will rid your hair of the moisture the conditioner provided.
I got this tip from Tati from GlamLifeGuru on YouTube and it works so well that I just had to share!

I hope you enjoyed this post :) Comment below telling me what your favourite hair products are :)

My Hair Saviour - Dry shampoo

Hey :)
So this post is kinda spontaneous and it came about because I was thinking about the one thing that I can't live without any more (beauty-wise :P). I have to say that I used to be one of those people who would wash their hair every single day because it used to get greasy by the end of the day or overnight. I didn't think it mattered that much since I like to shower in the morning anyway (because it wakes me up) but I have to say that I did used to miss out on more important things (like sleep LMFAO). Jokes aside, I absolutely love this product and it isssss the Batiste Dry Shampoo specifically the dark and deep brown one :)
I've always been sceptical about dry shampoo, I mean you always hear the good side and the negative and I didn't know if it was going to work at all. I can tell you all now that I am not going to allow myself to run out of this product, it seriously has changed my life that much.
I have dark brown hair and so I really do appreciate the fact that this has a hint of colour and although I sometimes do see a bit of the colour - it doesn't bother me, I run my hands through it and that seems to do the trick for me. I only need to apply it once a day and it will last the entire day for me, although sometimes I do apply it again if I am going out later in the day just because that's me being self concious but honestly you don't need to even do that. Another hit for this product is that it seriously adds volume to your hair which I like because my second day hair is lifeless and so I feel like this product is a Godsend and I really am kicking myself for not picking it up earlier. It's really weird how this one bottle can make such a difference in my life.
So to anyone who had any doubts - I would definitely buy this product and dry shampoo in general :)

This picture is my second day hair at the end of the day :)
